Co-operation agreement signed
Rector Bałanda and vice rector Zacłona returned from a three day journey to Narvik in Norway. The journey was a success and as a result, an agreement which strengthened the co-operation between Narvik University College and the State Higher Vocational School in Nowy Sącz, was signed.
Visitors from Belgrade
"Serbia and Montenegro - tradition, culture and economy", event organized by Higher State Vocational School in Nowy Sącz together with the Foundation of Support and Development of Culture, Science and Economy "Dagor", in Belgrade, was being held at PWSZ on the 13th of May.
The programme included two parts, the first one presenting the economy and companies of Serbia and Montenegro. The audience had a chance to follow an interesting presentation about the company "PIGO Food Processing Systems", specialized in making machines for freezing fruits and vegetables. The second part of the programme was designed to promote the culture of the Balkan countries including great musical performances from the famous duo "Bracia Teofilovic" as well as from the folk group "Branko Cvetkovic" accompanied by a group of dancers from Belgrade. The audience could also enjoy an exhibition of photographs taken by photographer Stanko Kostiča.

Series of science lectures continued on the 29th of May
The series of science lectures organized by the PWSZ in Nowy Sacz continued on the 29th of May with two interesting guest lecturers. At 2 pm Director General of the company "PiGo Food Processing System" Goran Obradović spoke about the practical aspects of the technology of frozen fruits and vegetables.
At 3 pm Dagmara Luković, the director of the foundation DAGOR in Belgrade hold a lecture titled "Teaching Polish in Foreign environment".
During the visit a co-operation agreement was being signed between the foundation DAGOR and PWSZ in Nowy Sącz.
Music Workshop 2006
The Institute of Pedagogy organized a music workshop titled "Polish ideas in musical education in comprehensive schools" on the 2
nd of June. The workshop was mainly addressed to junior school educators and primary school music teachers who wanted to exchange and share their teaching techniques and music activities.
